My Best Friend Poem

My best friend:
Strong, smart, and always in trend
My best friend:
Such a friendly aura he seems to send

I hate how I,
He overshadows.
I constantly cry,
In the meadows.

It pains me inside,
To see him that way.

One day, my sorrow caved in.
Impulse drove me to a terrible sin.
Mind set, set on anger.
Hatred sharp, like a pointed dagger.

I destroyed all good things that he had,
Without guilt, not a tad.
But one day, I see him in the meadow,
Crying under the biggest tree's shadow.

It pains me inside,
To see him this way.

The next day, I confessed,
Hoping to clear up this entire mess.
But he didn't look me in the eye,
Not even bothering to say "good bye"

And that's how, it all ends,
Seeing him, with a brand new friend.
Sadness, sorrow, filled with regret.
Over a never-ending debt.

It pains me inside,
To see him this way.
Basically I was cleaning up my room and found this poem I made in school. Decided I might as well post this? What are your thoughts on it?
(And no, this is not real. Lol.)
